Ashley Gierke: Ashley is an artist specializing in hand-cut paper pieces. She earned her BFA from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2005 and then went on to earn her MFA from the University of California, Davis in 2007. Ashley finds inspiration in botany, zoology, repetition, symmetry and Yayoi Kusama. In her spare time she enjoys searching the world for spheres for her ball collection and dancing with her dogs, Chicken and Whiskey. Ashley (b. 1983, Illinois) lives and works in Austin, Texas.
